Yeah, this went pretty much the way I expected it would.
My son and daughter play a lot of Monopoly. He loves it because he frequently wins; she just liked to play games. It often amazes me than can be so pissed off at each other over one of these games and five minutes be back at it like nothing happened. In a way, I guess that’s good.
I make no bones over the fact my wife is the fitness/healthy living person of our family and I’m the watch TV/eat junk food person. We all have our roles to play. On the one hand, I know she’s right; I should exercise more and eat better. On the other hand enjoying an old movie and drinking beer is far less stressful.
I’m not sure if this strip is more about the annoyance of a dog peeing on the floor or the laziness of a teen-age boy. You decide.
I wish someone could explain to me why dogs feel the need to lay a wet, nasty, gnarled, chewed up bone on their people in order to chew it. It’s truly repulsive.
Mostly I like this one because I spent more time than usual drawing the backgrounds and thought it came out pretty nice. Also, there are more than a few times when we run in the summer that I would like to sit in the stream with the dog to cool down.
In reality I’m the one who always tells the old jokes. Old dudes know old jokes. No other way around it.
